Privacy policy

Last updated Oct 22, 2026

This page explains what travelbloger stores about you, why, and what you can do about it.

What we store

Your name, username, email, home country and passport country, whether you want the Friday email, and a securely hashed password. If you sign in with Google we receive your name, email and profile photo from Google.

Why we use it

To run your account, show your channel to others, send verification and password reset codes, show visa information for your passport, and send the Friday email only if you opted in.

What others see

Others see your name, username, photo, home country and follower counts. Your email is never shown. Your passport country is only shown on trips you publish.

YouTube and Instagram

If you connect YouTube we keep only your channel’s name and link. If you add your Instagram username we show it on your profile; if you connect a Business or Creator account with Instagram login, we keep its username and an encrypted access token so we can show your latest posts and let you pick posts for your trips — we never post anything. Disconnect it in Settings, or remove travelbloger in Instagram’s settings, and the token is deleted right away; a deletion request through Instagram also removes your username.

Cookies and storage

We use two secure cookies to keep you logged in (they cannot be read by scripts on the page). Your browser also stores your public profile so the app loads faster; it is removed when you log out. We do not use advertising cookies.

Your rights

You can see and change your profile at any time. You can ask for a copy of your data or for your account to be deleted, and we will do it within 30 days.
